Back For Profit review

It's been many years since I was a member of any Betfair traders service. The last was Tony Hargraves. I very much enjoyed Tony's style of trading, had been for a 1-1 and was a member of all his groups at one point. But for me, it was all a bit much. Dogs in the morning, horses in the afternoon, football in the evening. I also felt that his groups had lost focus for the original members, and were more of a free for all. I had reached burn out and unfortunately Tony and I fell out. Which was a shame. To this day I hold no grudge towards Tony or his training methods.

A lot of people (who couldn't trade) left at the same sort of time as me, most of us going seperate ways. One person that I kept in touch with and who I considered a friend had joined Back for Profit. They were never profitable and despite them highly recommending the service and Andrews knowledge, they admitted defeat and got a job. In the meantime I decided that I wanted to get back into horse race inplay trading and decided that I would finally join Back for Profit.

I joined Back For Profit and paid the fee online. I was added to all the telegram groups but decided to keep my head down and say nothing. I studied the entire website for 5 days, watching every tutorial video and learning what Andrew considered to be a perfect trade. It was never my intention to trade full time, as I have other business interests but I did start trading earlier than I had planned. I got betangel set up using Andrews settings and begun watching some racing. My first few trades were some of the best trades I had ever done. Laying early on in the race, at prices I never even thought possible (below 3 and in one case below 2). I felt that with my previous style of trading and Andrews teaching, I knew what I was looking for and knew what to do when I seen it. More importantly, I was comfortable for the first time ever getting to the end of the race and not having traded at all. If I didn't see anything, and it wasn't obvious I was content that the bank was safe.

However, since joining I still hadn't been welcomed to the service. Not a single hello from anyone in the 4 telegram rooms, no welcome email, phone call, postcard, nowt. Nothing. Nada. I kind of got the feeling that was Andrews way. Pay your money, do your learning and shout me if you need me. Very different from how I run my businesses, but hey yo.

I messaged Andrew with a trade that I done, and he was adamant that it should never have been a trade. Still no welcome, how you doing, have you navigated the website ok, do you need any help. Just, that should never have been a trade. Truth was, it was an epic trade. I was in and out below 2, before the race had even reached 30%. It had safety, price and back up all in it's favour. And it was a trade, because I did it.

'My Friend' that had joined many years before me, took the same negative approach to my trades. You shouldn't be using real money yet, that isn't the BFP way, your going to fail. This coming from someone that was still not making a profit...

What happened next though was the weirdest thing ever. The website is laid out badly. Especially on mobile view. The titles of the videos run into each other so it's hard to always open the right video. So I decided to take some time to organise all the videos into tracks that Andrew recommends trading and the ones that he didnt, split across Ireland and then GB. What ever I did brought the site crashing to its knees. They seemed to think that they were under some sort of Ddos attack, but much more serious than that, I received a message from 'my Friend'. I only got to see the notification appear on my desktop that read, 'best of luck stealing Andrews content'. When I clicked on the notification 'my Friend' had already deleted the message and blocked me! Blocked me on telegram, messenger and mobile. I tried to call her but as I was blocked I just got an engaged tone.

By this point I had received a few welcomed calls from Andrew. He was still convinced that I was 1.01 to fail, so I decided that I didn't really want to be mentored by someone with that much negativity. I mean, 1.01 is pretty low. However I did mention to Andrew about the strange message I had received from 'my Friend' and he said he would bring it up with her on their next call. Turns out that she never sent me a message, and neither of them had any idea what I could possibly be talking about.

Since I crashed the website, the course videos are no longer available on the website, and only available on the telegram chat. Andrew posts today's course videos everyday.

Andrew openly admits that he wishes he never started the course. He's seen many people come through and now accepts that most will fail. The business itself doesn't make money, and eats into Andrew's own trading time. Andrew himself is a very successful trader and has been for many years. But as we know being a successful trader doesn't make us a successful teacher.

So, a strange journey really for someone who has a decent grasp of Betfair, Betangel and inplay racing.

The betangel settings, for me are worth the joining fee alone, and some of what Andrew said resonated with me as someone that has trading inplay before. But, for someone that has no clue about racing, betfair, live pictures, software, this is definitely not the programme for you.

I haven't logged into the site for weeks, and I've archived the telegram rooms so I don't read any of the daily chat. I do however trade 2-4 days a week and make a handsome profit. But I don't give Andrew or Back For Profit much credit for my success.

I also believe that unless you really want to be successful, you never will be. If many professional traders keep telling you the same thing, but you keep failing, the issue is you. And no amount of training videos, advice or sharing of knowledge will help you.

P.s. Since publishing this review, Andrew has blocked me on Twitter! Lol!! I think that says more than I could ever say.

Best to steer well clear.
